Kids STEAM - Art and Science

Ages 7 - 13

Tuesdays, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.

Kids make art projects inspired by Science, Technology, Engineering, ART and Math. Explore radial patterns, electrical currents, visual and physical balance, the science of color, and much more. 

Projects vary based on the topic.  Use a variety of materials and create projects such as kaleidoscopes and light-up wands to learn about light, color, and engineering. Create mobiles and learn about wind technology.  Explore the Fibonacci Sequence and repetition found in nature. Watch what happens when you mix oil and water to create beautiful marbleized papers.  These and so much more!

Classes are held at the ArtsConnect building, 9158 Winton Rd (building behind the fire station).

At ArtsConnect, we encourage children to explore their creativity independently to foster confidence and original thinking. While we ask that you sign your child in to class, to help your child gain the most from their class experience we kindly request that parents refrain from staying in the classroom.

During class, we invite you to enjoy our complimentary coffee and tea, free Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating areas indoors and outdoors. If there are special circumstances that require your presence, please reach out to our Education Director beforehand.

Kids STEAM - Art & Science Instructor

Kerri Bram

Kerri Bram is a long-time art educator teaching art since 2004.  She has taught all levels from PreK through adults in various educational environments. She received her BS in Fine Art and Art Education from the College of Mount St. Joseph and MA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Kerri utilizes her creative skills to inspire students with an opportunity to develop media mastery in the arts. She is a nurturing art instructor that uses a variety of motivations to introduce students to each project creating a stimulating learning environment. Kerri hopes to “infuse into others, the passion that I have for reading, understanding and communicating through the use of signs and symbols to communicate concepts that are both personal and universal.” Kerri teaches the ArtsConnect Preschool Pottery, Kids and Adult Hand-building and Kids Drawing Painting classes.

Class Cancellations & Weather Closings

Don't wait to register! Classes may be cancelled to low registration or fill up before you have a chance to register. Class cancellations due to weather will be made one hour prior to class start times and will be listed on the homepage of the ArtsConnect website at www.theartsconnect.us. To verify any weather closings, call 513-522-2108. In most instances, classes cancelled by weather will be made up by adding an additional class to the end of the session.

Due to costs incurred planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the ArtsConnect cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student or transfer to a new session.
