Meet our Instructor: Abby Schnure
Abby Schnure is a conceptual weaver, educator and community arts organizer. She is anchored in a fascination of the weaving process as a metaphor for understanding ones internal and external environments. She completed her BFA in Textile Arts from Kent State University in 2016. After graduating, Abby returned to Cincinnati, OH where she was born and raised. During this transition a passion for transforming everyday dry trash into new materials through weaving bloomed. Alongside her work with recycling materials, Abby actively facilitates community weaving classes and workshops for all ages and abilities, sharing this process with anyone who is interested.
