ArtsConnect offers private instrument lessons to help improve and increase your school band skills. Also appropriate for adults that always wanted to learn to play an instrument. Opportunities to play with a band or ensemble are also available. Students will perform for family and friends in several music recitals held at ArtsConnect arts center to show off the results of their hard work.
Flute, Trumpet, Clarinet, French Horn, Alto Saxophone, Trombone, and Snare Drum. Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced lessons are offered for French Horn
ArtsConnect’s top priority is the health and safety of our students and staff. There will be a large plastic partition in-between the student and instructor and they will be seated 6 ft apart. For those not ready to do in-person lessons yet, we also offer online Zoom lessons. Participants will need to download the free program - Zoom onto their computer or Ipad prior to the first class. Participants will receive an invitation link with specific instructions on how to join each class.
When registering you need to select in-person or online. You may change this at anytime during the session.
Private Instrumental lessons are held on Mondays and Tuesdays between 4:30 - 6:30. Call Lisa Zupon513-728-4266 to select your private 30-minute lesson time. In-person classes are held at ArtsConnect Springfield Township Community Arts Center, 9158 Winton Rd, Building A, behind the fire station.
No class during the week of Thanksgiving, November 23 & 24.
Dianne holds a B.S. in Science and Music, a M.Ed. in Secondary Education, and an Associate Degree in Computer Programming. She began teaching general music in Winton Woods, worked as a computer based trainer, and has returned to teaching instrumental music students. With over 20 years of experience leading grade school and junior high bands, she has become the band director for many Cincinnati based Parochial Schools. She is currently employed by the The Music Staff, an organization that provides band teachers for Catholic Schools. Dianne's major instrument is the French horn and Trumpet for marching band.
Class Cancellations & Weather Closings
A minimum of four students must be enrolled for the session prior to the stated deadline for the class to take place (maximum 12 students). The Springfield Township Senior and Community Arts Center follows Finneytown School District inclement weather closings. To verify closings, call 513-522-2108.
Due to costs incurred in planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the Arts Council cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student. Refunds will be made by check, not to a credit card. To notify us of a cancellation, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
