How Can The School Become Involved in WinterFest?
Student WinterFest Committee
The second day of WinterFest is created by high school students. It was their idea to theme Sunday as "Holidays Around the World". They are researching holidays and exploring ways they can bring an international experience to families through food, music, dance, craft and story. Meetings are held every other Wednesday at 4pm at the Springfield Township Community Arts Center. To become a committee member, call 522-2108, option 3 or just show up to a meeting. Committee members can receive community service credit for attending planning meetings and helping the carry out the event.
Participate in the community parade
The parade will step-off at 1pm from the old Kroger building, (Cincinnati Financial) located at 8685 Winton Road. The parade will travel down Winton Road to the location of the main WinterFest event, located behind the fire station at 9150 Winton Road. We are encouraging all schools to participate in the parade with their band, student groups or even a float. To confirm, please fill out an enclosed parade application for EACH parade unit.
