Instructor:
Dr. Sharon Doering is an artist, mother, traveler, cook, and board-certified and licensed art therapist. Sharon holds a B.A. in Fine Arts, an M.A. in Art Therapy, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Her doctoral work focused on recovery of human trafficking survivors. She enjoys teaching individuals how to enjoy the therapeutic effects of art creation.
Sharon has taught courses in human development, mental health, cognitive-behavioral therapy, diversity, and communication at the graduate, undergraduate, and community levels. Her clinical background spans working in hospitals, residential treatment facilities, out-patient partial hospitalization, day programs as well as 1:1 with individuals and families.
Currently, Sharon has her own private practice called Discover Solutions, LLC.
