Art and Relaxation Workshops

The Art of Mindfulness Workshop

Creative Stress Reduction
Wednesday, March 21, 2018

Do you need to find time to relax and enjoy creating artwork?  Come learn creative, fun, and clinically-proven ways to relieve stress and boost wellness through the Art of Mindfulness.

In the workshop, you will:
  • Practice mindfulness techniques
  • Experience relaxation through art-making
  • Connect more deeply with yourself and others.
"Art is a natural way to practice mindfulness.  The colors, textures and sounds of creating pull us into the moment.  You don't need any previous training to meditate through art, just a willingness to draw like a child, with freedom and a sense of curiosity."  --Amy Maricle, an artist, art therapist and found of Mindful Art Studio.

Bound for Happiness: Book-Binding and Gratitude

Come learn practical book-binding techniques to make one of a kind creations to hold your inner treasures.  The class will cover various stitching and binding skills combined with how to journal and capture gratefulness. Both gratitude and art-making are proven to boost wellbeing, happiness, and a greater connectedness to life.

In the workshop, you will:

  • Make hand-bound, creative books
  • Learn the art of journaling and gratitude
  • Learn the science of happiness and wellbeing.
