Summer Camps

Your kids will have a summer packed with imaginative, creative and fulfilling art projects in the ArtsConnect Kids Camp. Unlike any other art camp, this program empowers kids to make a difference through their art. We employ certified art educators, ensuring your kids are exposed to a wide range of artistic skills and media. Campers will learn about cultural differences and stewardship of their environment while creating projects from puppetry to public murals and so much more. Experience a week or an entire summer of art!

ArtsConnect Kids Camp Overall Goals
The ArtsConnect Kids Camp is not a traditional summer art camp program. We give children the necessary resources and instruction to flourish as young artists. We also strive to educate them on how they can use their artistic knowledge and artistic skills to make positive contributions to their communities. Our camp curriculum has been created with that intent. We have employed counselors who can successfully create, implement, and reflect upon art lessons and also serve as positive role models.

Our camp is accredited through the American Camp Association and runs with support from ArtsWave!

My Pet Project
Regardless if your pet has fur, fins or feathers, you will love this adventure-packed week filled with animal-themed projects.  Campers will create pet drawings, sculptures, and block prints of their pets. They will even make costumes for their pets to wear!  As a group, kids will also complete a project to benefit a local animal shelter. $169
Week 3: June 18 - 22, 2018 Toys! All toys were designed by some kind of artist. Campers will learn about toy design by meeting a real toy designer! They can have their questions answered regarding how designers work and what is involved in creating a new toy. Through different mediums, campers will design 2-D and 3-D puzzles, cause and effect toys (such as marble runs), and soft sculpture toys that come from complete imagination. Who knew that playing could be so educational! $169
Week 4: June 25 - 29, 2018 Endangered Species Did you know the Rhino, Malayan Tiger, Orangutan, South China Tiger, Sumatran Elephant, and the Lowland Gorilla are all critically endangered? As campers we will learn about these fascinating animals and discover why they are endangered and how we can help. Campers will create relief tiles, drawings, abstractions, and large mural paintings of these fabulous animals! $169
Week 5: July 9 - 13, 2018 Bug Out! Bugs are COOL during our hot, summer camp! Campers will delight in bug races, which will inspire creative bug designs in oil pastels, basket reed sculptures, and papier maché. A visit from a beekeeper will teach campers about honeybees and their job in keeping our community blooming and fertile.   $169
Week 6: July 16 - 20, 2018 Superheroes! What makes a hero super? Campers will create their own superheroes and villains through comic book drawings and colored pencil portraits. They will design masks and cloaks. Life drawing will be taught to practice proportions when drawing superheroes. Campers will be prepared to “do good” in the township with their new-found super powers by researching issues at hand and designing their own creative solution! $169
Week 7: July 23 - 27, 2018 Crime Scene Investigation! There are mysteries to solve at the ArtsConnect Kids Camp and we will need super sleuths to solve them! Campers will investigate a crime scene, learn how artists must render portraits through description, use fingerprints to create values in drawings, use description to critique artwork, and solve mysteries in historical art pieces. They will even get to have one-on-one time with the Springfield Township Police Detectives to learn how they solve mysterious crimes! $169
Week 8: July 30 - August 3, 2018 Super Sports! Campers will talk about the games they love and the sports players they love.
