Instructor - Robin Madden
As a local piano teacher, Robin Madden delights in working with students of all ages, and has done so for 30 years. She considers teaching piano a privilege and believes that expressing human emotions with music is one of the best therapies that can be utilized over a lifetime. Taking piano lessons means learning more than just music. It includes learning self-discipline, attention to detail, finding patterns and sequences – skills that carry over into STEM studies as well. Preparing for performance teaches students to share their music, and also what it takes to make any kind of presentation. An investment in piano lessons obtains more than learning notes.
Robin has been a part of the May Festival Chorus and MUSE Cincinnati Women’s Choir. She sings as a cantor and is an occasional choir member at a nearby church. She also quilts, crochets dishcloths and makes origami models for her students and friends. Her pets are all wild, and live in the back yard. Her garden provides fresh salad for family, and a few bugs. When she is not teaching, practicing, or singing, she can mostly be found in the basement, stitching away.

The Claude Gordon Method
The Claude Gordon method will take the mystery and frustration out of brass playing for both the amateur and the professional. You will learn how to play correctly, utilizing the seven natural elements of brass playing: the Wind Power, the Tongue, the Wind Control, the Lips, the Muscles of the Lips and Face, the Fingers of the Right Hand, the Left Hand. You will learn to use these in a natural manner, the way they were meant to work, within the forces of nature. When you play your instrument easily, then you make great music!
