Playhouse in The Park Series

Playhouse in the Park is a professional regional theater company committed to producing and presenting for diverse audiences the broadest range of theater. Each year, the Playhouse is proud to partner with many of the region's community arts centers and other community venues to bring three plays "off the hill" to families throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. The following Playhouse in The Park Series continues at The Grove Banquet & Events Center with a partnership between the Springfield Township Arts and Enrichment Council, The Wyoming Fine Arts Center and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

For Maddie, high school is a totally new universe with unlimited possibilities. An eager freshman, she’s determined to change her image, join the coveted ranks of the A Team and regain the attention of her former friend Robyn. But everyday challenges of fitting in take on new meaning when an alien refugee from outer space enrolls at school, and Maddie must decide if achieving popularity is worth compromising her true personality in this charming world premiere.

Rudyard Kipling’s beloved classic comes alive in this fun, free-flowing adaptation. The bossy bird Darzee is furious when Rikki Tikki Tavi arrives unannounced. With the dimwitted muskrat Chuchu, Darzee pulls out all of the stops to convince the pesky young mongoose to leave. That is until they see that the tyrannical cobra Nag runs in fear of Rikki Tikki Tavi. Ultimately, the three learn to band together to save their home in this delightful comedy about sharing and cooperation.
